Purpose:
In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5111.10 and consistent with the authorities detailed in Section 322 of Title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.), this issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for the oversight, management, and execution of the readiness program for U.S. special operations forces (SOF) to train with the forces of friendly foreign countries (commonly known and referred to in this issuance as "joint combined exchange training" (JCET)).
