The Specification also includes detailed specification requirements for traditional precast concrete coping units together with dimension requirements for standard types of coping units. The Specification provides performance specification requirements for platform components other than coping units (including tactile surfaces), coping units manufactured from materials other than concrete and pre-fabricated platform construction systems.

The Specification applies to new platforms (including traditional site assembled construction and pre-fabricated systems), extensions to existing platforms and components used in reconstruction / maintenance renewals.

Purpose

This Specification provides specification requirements for manufactured platform components and pre-fabricated platform systems to be installed at Railtrack owned stations.
