Multi section axle counter systems installed on light, medium and high capacity and low to high-speed lines controlled by either RRI or SSI using lever, panel or VDU MMI control systems. This standard should be read in conjunction with Network Rail Company standards Specification NR/SP/SIG/10129, RT/E/S/11752 and the relevant manufacturers manuals listed in the references section.

Purpose

This applications manual details the generic elements for the implementation of multi-section axle counter systems on Network Rail infrastructure. It also provides an overview of the suite of manuals accompanying this document.
