scope:

The contents of this standard are applicable to:

a) suppliers who are prioritised by Network Rail as Principal Contractors;

b) suppliers who are prioritised by Network Rail as Rail Plant Operating Companies in Possessions on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure.

Purpose

This standard sets out the management system requirements for suppliers prioritised by Network Rail for either a Principal Contractor Licence (PCL) or a Rail Plant Operating Company in Possessions Licence (hereafter "Rail Plant Operating Company" and abbreviated to POL).

This standard has been developed to bring together the requirements for suppliers engaged in contracts directly with Network Rail, either as a Principal Contractor or as a Rail Plant Operating Company in Possessions Licence holder.
