This procedure does not cover personal safety requirements.

This procedure is for the corrective maintenance of Network Rail direct maintained signalling assets. Assets owned by another function but have corrective maintenance undertaken by signalling (e.g. Hot Axle Bearing Detectors) are also covered.

The procedure does not cover corrective maintenance that is classified as a Wrong Side Failure, this process is detailed in a separate procedure.

This procedure applies to you if you are involved with the management and delivery of corrective maintenance on signalling equipment. Individual role/position responsibilites for this procedure are detailed in the RACI (section 5).

This precedure does not cover preventative maintenance, this is detailed in NR/PRC/MTC/SG0053.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to define the process for corrective maintenance of Network Rail signalling assets.
