Signalling Responsibilities for S&C Maintenance
| Organization: | NR |

scope:
This procedure does not cover personal safety requirements.
All point installations that are operated by signalling equipment are covered. As this procedure covers addional signalling responsibilites for S&C preventative and corrective maintenance, it must be used in conjunction with NR/PRC/MTC/SG0053 for prevenative maintenance and NR/PRC/MTCSG0054 for corrective maintenance.
Other functional responsibilites (e.g. Track) are shown as inputs and outputs to this procedure. Refererance must be made to the individual function procedures for the detailed processes that relate to their responsibilities.
This procedure applies to you if you are involved with the management and delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance on signalling equipment related to S&C installations. Individual role/position responsibilites for this procedure are detailed in the RACI (section 5).
Purpose
This document defines the additional signalling procedures for S&C inspection and maintenance over and above that detailed in NR/PRC/MTC/SG0053 (preventative maintenance of signalling assets) and NR/PRC/MTCSG0054 (corrective maintenance of signalling assets).
This is due to the cross functional nature of S&C installations and the affect that these have on the correct operation of signalling equipment which are not detailed in the previously named procedures.
