The procedure covers all types of axle counter equipment used on Network Rail infrastructure and applies to Network Rail maintenance staff who undertake preventative or corrective maintenance on this type of equipment.

Individual role/responsibilities for this procedure are detailed in the RACI (section 5).

Purpose

This document details the procedure for the isolation of axle counter equipment from the interlocking for preventative or corrective maintenance activities along with the re-set and restoration of the equipment back to the interlocking.
