This procedure applies to Network Rail maintenance staff who undertake signalling corrective maintenance or manage staff who undertake corrective maintenance.

For corrective maintenance to Right Side Failures, the process in NR/PRC/MTC/SG0054 should be followed.

For corrective maintenance to Wrong Side Failures, the process in NR/PRC/MTC/SG0138 should be followed.

Individual role/position responsibilities for this procedure are detailed in the RACI.

Purpose

This document details the process to ensure that Right on Arrival and Repeated failures are investigated sufficiently to ensure the fundamental cause of the failure is found and rectified.
