This SMP includes the process for management of critical rail temperatures for site of unknown stress and stress required.

This Procedure defines the standard process, roles and responsibilities related to the management of stress in rails.
The Procedure reflects the requirements of NR/SP/TRK/001 Inspection and Maintenance of Permanent Way.
