scope:

This instruction applies to all persons engaged in the maintenance of CCTV monitoring equipment used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.

Maintenance of CCTV Video recorders is covered in NR/WI/TEL/30115 and CCTV Cameras in NR/WI/TEL/30110.

This instruction does not cover equipment used in DOO CCTV systems, the maintenance of which is detailed in NR/WI/TEL/30072.

Purpose

This instruction defines the requirements for an inspection regime by the telecoms maintainers of CCTV monitoring equipment used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.

The purpose of undertaking maintenance is to ensure that CCTV monitoring equipment is functional and to identify defects before they become service effecting.
