Introduction
The PC SPAD Monitor (PSM) software relies on a series of site-specific data files for compilation. This document describes the processes involved with creating a site-specific PSM software set.
The build processes described in this document require the use of three computers. The names assigned to these computers located at AEA Technology Rail, Derby, and their corresponding functions, are as follows:
- Pudding: Source data storage and modification
- Severn: ARS data compilation
- July: PSM software build
In addition to the build computers, the testing and installation processes involve the use of two PSM computers:
- Test Machine: Laboratory based PSM computer for testing data and code changes
- PSM Machine: Site based PSM computer used for live SPAD monitoring
The remaining sections of this document describe the creation of the software set in five stages:
1. Compilation of the data
2. Installation of the software set on a Test Machine for testing
3. Compilation and use of the Test Tool for testing
4. Creation of an installation CD-ROM for use on site
5. Installation of the software set on site through the use of the installation CD-ROM
