scope:
This specification covers fuel fired horizontal straight fire tube type boilers of 2 or 4 pass, single uptake design with burner, all necessary appurtenances, controls and auxiliary equipment mounted as an integral unit on a steel base in order to make a complete, self-contained steam generating unit.
The boilers shall be of the following classes and sizes, as specified (see 6.2.1):
Class I - Carbon steel construction.
Class II - Nonmagnetic construction.
