The documents specified by this manual are mandatory for all functions within Network Rail and it's contractors involved in the use of plant (as defined by the documents contained within this manual), that is used for all infrastructure related activities, including, but not limited to, maintaining, inspecting, measuring, renewing and installing the infrastructure and its components.
Purpose
This manual provides a central reference point of process and procedural requirements for the use and operation of plant on Network Rail managed infrastructure.
Compliance with these documents will support both a safer working environment and compliance with relevant statutory legislation, regulations and Network Rail's Health and Safety Management System.
