scope:
This module of NR/L3/MTC/II0219 specifies the process for managing faults detected by the Intelligent Infrastructure Remote Condition Monitoring (II RCM) system and existing systems, and indicated by the generation of Alarms and Alerts.
This module covers the required action and activity following the receipt of the system Alarms and Alerts from RCM systems.
Purpose
Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM) systems are being implemented to provide information on the condition and potential faults on specified Assets on the Network Rail Infrastructure.
To ensure that the systems are used in a correct and consistent way, a suite of Standards has been produced to provide guidance and processes to be applied to the use and management of RCM systems.
This standard is one of the suite, which also includes standards for guidance on the Maintenance of Assets fitted with RCM, Installation of RCM equipment and Configuration and Calibration of the equipment. In places, specific reference and instruction is included to apply to the system and equipment fitted by the Intelligent Infrastructure RCM project.
