scope:
This specification relates to a two-part, cold-curing polyurethane material in which the adhesion of the cured product is of prime importance. It may be used both in prime assemblies and in the repair of inhibiting coatings.
The designation 'Type QX' indicates that the material is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives and propellants is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives and propellants in all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Director, Propellants, Explosives and Rocket Motor Establishment, Waltham Abbey, Essex.
