This guide specification covers the requirements for interior fire alarm systems including manual and automatic, noncoded, interior, fire and evacuation alarm systems. System requirements must conform to DoD MIL-HDBK-1008, "Fire Protection for Facilities Engineering Design and Construction." If there are questions concerning system design, the Fire Protection Engineer, Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Code 0408, 1220 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA, should be consulted.
