Der allgemeine Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm ist in DIN 27200:2011-11, Abschnitt 1 und 3.1, festgelegt.
Diese Norm gilt für Einstiegtüren der Bauart Schwingtüren für Fahrgasträume von:
a) Reisezugwagen;
b) Triebwagen;
c) Triebzügen.
Die bildlichen Darstellungen dieser Norm tragen beispielhaften Charakter.
Für Eisenbahnfahrzeuge mit abweichenden Bauarten ist diese Norm sinngemäß anzuwenden.
