This standard applies to bright key steel (bright steel for producing taper keys and parallel keys, see Bibliography) in bars of square, rectangular or flat-rectangular cross section, with the nominal sizes given in Tables 1 and 2 and made of the steel grades specified in Clause 6.
This standard does not apply to bright steel products complying with DIN EN 10278 (round, square, hexagon and flat bars).
