La presente Norma specifica i requisiti delle muffole di tipo 1 utilizzate sulle pareti o sul coperchio dei trasformatori di distribuzione trattati nella Norma EN 50464-2-1. Le muffole sono adatte al funzionamento all'interno o all'esterno nelle condizioni ambientali specificate nella EN 50464-1.
Il contenuto della presente Norma risulta tecnicamente identico a quello dell'HD 428.2.2 S1:1997 (recepito come Norma CEI 14-21:1997-12
fasc. 4280E).
