This specification establishes the requirements for manufacture and acceptance of two types of probes, referred to herein as the probe.
Probes covered by this specification consist of the following types:
Type I. Probe, Crush Sensor:
a. RH, FZU-45/B (Drawing 642AS5701).
b. LH, FZU-46/B (Drawing 642AS5700).
Type II. Probe, Air-Pressure, FZU-47/B (Drawing 642AS5650).
intended Use:
The probe is intended for use in the fuzing system of a Harpoon air-, surface-, or subsurface-launched guided missile to provide arming energy to the fuze and to sense target impact.
