This Standard specifies the styptic balloons (hereafter referred to as "tubes") used for the purpose of angiopressure for the gastric and esophageal varicose bleeding.
In addition, this Standard does not apply to those temporarily inserted (for not over 24 h) into the body using a metal.
Moreover, JIS T 3236 : 2005 may be applied until July 28th, 2014.
