This standard specifies the information required in documents of the individual phases (i.e. the life cycle) of a process plant as described in DIN 28000-1. In connection with DIN 28000-1, this standard can be used as a technical basis for agreements on services rendered (contracts) and for defining individual tasks during the life cycle of a process plant. he assignment of documents to individual phases of the life cycle of a process plant depends on the structure of the plant, how the work or transaction is to be executed, the trade(s) involved and other influencing factors. Therefore, the objective of the standard is not to define a strict classification, but to provide a practical list of all essential documents and their main contents. If standardized definitions and contents already exist, reference is made to these in DIN 28000-1.
