This Standard specifies tubes and catheters designed for gamete or embryo transfers (hereafter referred to as "catheters") which are inserted into the body temporarily for the purpose of injecting sperm and ovum or fertilized ovum (embryo) through cervical canal, myometrium or abdominal into uterus or fallopian tube, etc.
Moreover, JIS T 3245 : 2005 may be applied until July 28th, 2014.
