This method is designed exclusively for determining the penetration of oil-soluble organic biocides in wood where the wood has been treated with the oil-soluble organic biocide dissolved in light-colored Hydrocarbon Solvent Type A of AWPA Standard P9.
The penetration of oil-soluble organic biocides dissolved in dark-colored Hydrocarbon Solvent Type A should be judged by visual examination without staining.
