This method is used to determine the concentration of didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) and alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride (BAC) in treated wood. The method is not compound specific, the total equivalence of cationic surfactants is determined. This procedure is intended for routine quality control in wood treatment and is not suitable for determination of trace levels of quaternary ammonium compounds in wood.
