Diese Europäische Norm ist Teil einer Normenreihe. Einzelheiten dieser Normenreihe sind in !ISO 15607:2003", Anhang A, angegeben.

Diese Norm legt fest, wie eine vorläufige Schweißanweisung durch Schweißverfahrensprüfungen qualifiziert wird.

Diese Norm definiert die Bedingungen für die Durchführung der Schweißverfahrensprüfungen und den Geltungsbereich für Schweißverfahren für alle praktischen schweißtechnischen Tätigkeiten innerhalb des Bereiches der Einflussgrößen nach Abschnitt 8.

Die Prüfungen sind nach dieser Norm durchzuführen. Zusätzliche Prüfungen dürfen durch Anwendungsnormen gefordert werden.

Diese Norm wird angewendet beim Lichtbogen- und Gasschweißen von Stählen in allen Produktformen und beim Lichtbogenschweißen von Nickel und Nickellegierungen in allen Produktformen.

Lichtbogen- und Gasschweißen umfasst die folgenden Schweißprozesse nach !ISO 4063":

111 Lichtbogenhandschweißen;

114 Metall-Lichtbogenschweißen mit Fülldrahtelektrode ohne Schutzgas;

12 Unterpulverschweißen

131 Metall-Inertgasschweißen; MIG-Schweißen;

135 Metall-Aktivgasschweißen; MAG-Schweißen;

136 Metall-Aktivgasschweißen mit Fülldrahtelektrode;

137 Metall-Inertgasschweißen mit Fülldrahtelektrode;

141 Wolfram-Inertgasschweißen; WIG-Schweißen;

15 Plasmaschweißen;

311 Gasschweißen mit Sauerstoff-Acetylen-Flamme.

Die Grundsätze dieser Europäischen Norm dürfen bei anderen Schmelzschweißprozessen angewendet werden.
