scope:

This standard applies to the selection and integration of switchgear and equipment forming an FSP Switchgear Assembly. A FSP Switchgear Assembly may comprise cable termination and glanding, switchgear, protective devices, Distribution Booster Transformers, Battery Chargers, FSP Isolating Transformers, Auto Reconfiguration equipment and environmental controls. Design and construction requirements are specified for both Class I and Class II based assemblies.

Purpose

This Specification details the requirements for the design, supply, installation and testing of Class I and Class II Functional Supply Point (FSP) Switchgear Assemblies for use within Signalling Power Distribution systems.
