This specification defines hardcopy production requirements for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Littoral Planning Chart (LPC), which will replace the existing Combat Chart. 

Purpose. The purpose of this specification is to assure uniformity of treatment among all elements including symbols, accuracy, layout, content, and design needed for the production of the Littoral Planning Chart as related to tactical military operations covering coastal regions. Littoral Planning Charts provide an approximate 50/50 division between land and water, and provide hydrographic and topographic information in those coastal areas.
