The purpose of this procedure is:

1. to provide a method of measuring the force required to remove the tear strip from an extruded weatherstrip part. The tear strip will be pulled at a 45° angle

and 2. to provide a method for measuring ultimate tensile and elongation for the tear strip.

Note: Nothing in this test method supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained.
