PVRC CENTRIFUGAL PUMP-PIPING INTERACTION EXPERIENCE SURVEY

active, Most Current
Organization: WRC
Publication Date: 1 August 1986
Status: active
scope:

Over 100 questionnaires asking about field experience, design standards, and attitudes on the effect of pipe reactions on centrifugal pumps were received from the Power and Process industries. This survey, which was prompted by industry inquiries, examines the experience and needs of piping and pump system designers, manufacturers, and operators. It was designed to help PVRC determine whether a significant pump-piping interaction problem exists and to what extent; and also to help set research priorities and provide guidance to Code and Standards bodies.
