Bolted flanged connections with full-face gaskets are not covered by ASME BPV Code, Section VIII, Division 1 rules. A method similar to the method used in Section VIII, Division 1 rules for bolted flanged connections with ring gaskets is proposed in this bulletin. Equations are developed and numerical examples are provided. Limited correlations with experimental data from strain gage measurements are also given. Publication of this report - WRC Bulletin No. 381 was sponsored by the Committee on Bolted Flanged Connections of the Pressure Vessel Research Council
