This Bulletin is the second on the subject of buried pipe. WRC Bulletin 425 SEPTEMBER 1997, A Review of Methods for the Analysis of Buried Pipe investigates and surveys industry practices in design and trenchless repair of buried pipe. This Bulletin, WRC Bulletin 446 NOVEMBER 1999 investigates the practices followed in the design and repair of buried piping in the power, process, pipeline and waterworks industries. First, the design requirements from several codes for Power (ASME B31.1), Process (ASME B31.3), Oil Pipelines (ASME B31.4), Gas Pipelines (ASME B31.8) and Waterworks (AWWA) are covered. Second, a number of repair techniques unique to buried piping are investigated. Third, a survey documents methods used to design buried pipe on various projects in different industries
