Diese Norm gilt mit DIN EN 124 und DIN 1229 für die Zusammenstellung der Bauteile von runden Schachtabdeckungen der Klassen A 15 und B 125 für den Einbau insbesondere auf Grundstücken zur Abdeckung von Gruben. Für die Klassifizierung wird auf DIN EN 124 verwiesen.
Eine Zusammenstellung runder Schachtabdeckungen der Klasse A 15 und B 125 ist in DIN 19596-1 festgelegt. Festlegungen für Deckel dazu enthält DIN 19596-3.
