scope:
PURPOSE.
To determine photometric and environmental characteristics of lamps (including headlamps, fog lamps, signal lamps, position lamps, and retro-reflectors) that are consistent with the requirements of the applicable Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) Regulations for the specific lamp type. Other related GMUTS procedures for exported lamps to European regulations cover vehicle tests, design analysis, headlamp cleaner system tests, and headlamp leveling system tests for beam inclination (aim).
