This Standard specifies the methods for determination of the linear-chain isomers of 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8-heptadecafluorooctanesulfonate (perfluorooctanesulfonate PFOS) and 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8-pentadecafluorooctanoate (perfluorooctanoate, PFOA) in industrial water and wastewater by using the solid-phase column and high performance liquid chromatograph tandem mass spectrometer (LC/MS/MS meter) (see table 1).

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 25101 : 2009 Water quality - Determination of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoate (PFOA) - Method for unfiltered samples using solid phase extraction and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (MOD)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
