scope:
This Standard describes test methods for the assessment of the accuracy and reproducibility of digitization devices for CAD/CAM systems for indirect dental restorations. The accuracy and reproducibility of intra- and extra-oral surface digitization devices for hard and soft tissue and dental implant system components should be determined to prove their efficacy. This test method is not applicable to digitization by X-ray methods and by MRI-methods.
