The present document describes spreading and modulation for the Physical Layer for family G enhanced of the satellite component of UMTS (S-UMTS-G enhanced).

It is based on the FDD mode of UTRA defined by TS 101 851-1-3 [1], TS 101 851-2-3 [2], TS 101 851-4-3 [3] and adapted for operation over satellite transponders.

Furthermore, it specifies enhancing features optimizing the basic G family radio interface performances over satellite and new functions.
