This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for one grade of synthetic lubricating oil intended primarily for use in aircraft gas turbine engines and relevant ancillary equipment.
Lubricating oil provided to this specification shall possess satisfactory performance and properties when used in appropriate vehicles and/or gas turbines and ancillary equipment operated by the Crown.
