For the preservation and maintenance of SEVAC sensors, two aspects shall be considered:

- The site where the SEVAC is installed, paying particular attention to aspects such as: excessive vegetation, installation of fencing or road signs, and the state of the SEVAC infrastructure in relation to fencing, conduits and manholes, or structures such as masts and support posts for the sensor equipment, etc.

- The complete SEVAC unit: housing units and sensors as well as the necessary equipment for proper operation and use of data.

There are two types of conservation and maintenance services: preventive and corrective.
