The standard specifies the attachment requirements for layer 1 and 2, Electro-magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and safety and protection aspects for terminal equipment (as defined in subclause 4.1) to connect at the T reference point or coincident S and T reference point to a public Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) using ISDN basic access in accordance with CCITT Recommendation I.420 (1), and draft prETS 300 012 (2), ETS 300 125 (3), draft prETS 300 126 (4) and draft prETS 300 047 (5).
