Form: This specification covers a corrosion-resistant steel in the form of sand or centrifugal castings.

Application: Primarily for parts such as accessory components requiring corrosion resistance and strength up to 600 °F (315 °C). Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these castings to become subject to stress-corrosion cracking. Where stress-corrosion may be a factor in service, precipitation heat treatment should be performed at a temperature not lower than 1000 °F (540 °C).
