This document establishes the requirements for screw-on type reattach able couplings for use in low temperature hose assemblies.

Classification:

Types: Hose couplings furnished under this document may be of two types:

a. Type I: External NPT thread

b. Type II: Internal NPSH thread with swivel

Classes: Hose couplings furnished under this document may be of two classes:

a. Class 1: Fuel service

b. Class 2: Demineralized water service

intended Use:

The couplings are intended for use assemblies conforming to MIL-DTL-6615 for ground fueling of aircraft with hydrocarbon fuels (use Class 1) or demineralized water (use Class 2).
