IFAI - HOW TO ESTIMATE

How to Estimate

inactive, Most Current
Organization: IFAI
Status: inactive
scope:

Learning to produce a good estimate is just as important as making a good quality product. You as the fabricator and business person don't want to forget to include and charge for any of the materials (i.e. zippers, fasteners, binding, vinyl, material, etc) and labor going into the product you are making for your customer. This training video/dvd will help you set up an estimating system using an Estimate/Contract that can be utilized from beginning to end of the job.

Since the production of the Estimating dvd, Marine Canvas Training Institute has further improved the estimating process by creating a Designer/Estimator. The Designer/Estimator is broken down into three areas. The first area has a place to keep a record of retail prices of the items that go into the products. The second section includes worksheets for six different products that list some basic labor times and items that typically go into that product, a miscellaneous worksheet and an estimate/contract. The third area has a place to keep a record of wholesale prices of the items that go into the products
