This Standard specifies the test methods for seam strength of general textiles.

For tests performed in accordance with method A-3 (ISO method), the requirements in Annex A shall apply in place of those in clause 5, clause 6 and clause 8.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 13935-2: 1999 Textiles - Seam tensile properties of fabrics and made-up textile articles-Part 2: Determination of maximum force to seam rupture using the grab method (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
