scope:
This standard deals with installations designed to remain permanently in one place and to convey passengers or goods between predetermined access or landing levels.
This standard does not deal with handling equipment which can be separated from the installation without affecting the completeness or usability of the latter, and which can be used independently.
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
