scope:
This standard deals with the installation of air conditioning systems in which the air is transported by mechanical means.
This standard does not cover natural ventilation systems nor does it apply to industrial applications in which the air flow in a given system has a technical function in equipment or machinery used for particular processes.
Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
