scope:
This standard deals with the installation of
- ceramic tiling and mosaics;
- Solnhofen stone tiles, natural stone tiles, mosaics and one-quarter tiles.
This standard does not cover the installation of
- slabs made from natural stone (cf. DIN 18332);
- cast stone work (cf. DIN 18333),
DIN 18299 clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
