scope:
This standard deals with track construction including work on existing tracks, switches and ballast.
This standard does not cover
- earthwork associated with track work (cf. DIN 18300) including the placing of protective layers (cf. DIN 18315);
- the paving of roads (cf. DIN 18315 to DIN 18318).
Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
