Standard Method of Test for FLAMMABILITY OF CLOTHING TEXTILES

This method covers the evaluation of the flammability of clothing textiles. It is applicable of textile clothing and textile intended to be used in clothing. The term "raised fiber surface" in the method means a napped, pile, tufted, flocked, or similar surface.
This standard should be used solely to measure and describe the properties of materials, products, or systems in response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions and should not be considered or used for description, appraisal, or regulation of the fire hazard of materials, products, or systems under actual fire conditions.
