OVERVIEW

This chapter establishes policies and responsibilities within the Department of Defense (DoD) for the financial management of various types of transportation payments. It outlines the policies and responsibilities for payment of transportation documents, including bills of lading (BOL) and third-party transportation payment invoices. It also includes requirements for audits, reviews, claims and related General Services Administration (GSA) procedures. The policies in this chapter also apply when the Transportation Working Capital Fund (TWCF) pays the commercial transportation service provider.
